He is the lover of my soul

The person i am talking about is Jesus. Here is just a simple, yet profound, thought for the day. At church we were in Song of Solomon. It is an interesting book and often avoided and misunderstood. I am girl and of course I love romantic stories. I'm a sucker for anything of the sort. And this my friends is the ultimate love story. I cannot even comprehend how amazing it is. So you know God...the one who CREATED the universe....yeah HE loves me. We are so precious to Him. Here is the one that gets me, "Thou hast ravished my heart"(4:9), we could so easily say that of the Lord. I mean, he died for us that we might have life!! But this is Him saying it to his bride! O that the Lord thinks upon us. He DELIGHTS in our love for Him. He longs for us to come to him and spend time in His presence. So please be encouraged today that Jesus Christ is the lover of your soul. He is pursuing you and winning you over and over again. Let him pour out His love upon you. Dwell in His presence and goodness. For He is good to His people. :)

In mom news, i am finding that there will ALWAYS be challenges. First it was colic and sleepless nights, breastfeeding problems to leaking nappies (diapers). Well the sleepless nights have returned. I thought that they were a thing of the past and were the lucky ones. I mean, he did sleep through the night since 8 weeks old. But now, he has learned to roll over, he is teething, and i guess at this age they start to go through separation anxiety. Well all this to say....the past few weeks i have had VERY little sleep. BUT God is good. I love my little darling more than ever. Being first time parents is so scary sometimes. So many new things come your way and you have NO idea what to do! I am so thankful i know the Lord, because i don't know how i would do it.
We are having SO much fun entering the world of solid food! Caleb has yet to truly like real food yet. He likes spinach....the weirdo...hehe. and sweet potato. But other than that, not so much. after all my hours of pureeing and making fresh baby food...it mostly ends up on me and everywhere else other than his mouth! :)

goodbye for now. God Bless you all.

  2. Our daughter was pureeing food for her first child, Joshua, and even a bit for the second one, Alicia. But...third and fourth, she went with baby food. I totally understand your desire to give him the best chance at being healthy but in the end...somehow they still grow. He'll soon be getting even more picky like the rest of us! Good luck with that. Oh by the way, he's a little doll!
